Design
Industrial and design support for Neoplants
Project abstract
Neoplants bioengineered a new Pothos variety to capture and recycle harmful indoor pollutants. The goal was to adapt the designers’ aesthetic vision into an industrial product, while meeting ergonomic, functional, and industrial standards.
Technical developments
- In-depth material sourcing to select a biosourced, biodegradable plastic (PLA FLAX).
- Rework the shape of the jar to enable it to be injected into production.
- Design the basket part that holds the plant and the reservoir with the float, finding the right dimensions for the plastic clips.
- Prepare for the transition to DVT
Key achievements
-
Prototype refinement: Iterated after beta testing with 50+ units
-
